I need cash for down payment. I’ve heard people selling gold by mailing in. Doesn’t sound possible to me to send off valuables to an unknown person and get desired outcome, that’s why I’m asking here. I haven’t seen buyers coming to my area to buy gold, that sort of thing. Your input is much appreciated!

Take it to a couple of jewelers in your local area that advertise buy or sell. Get a few quotes and compare offers. You will likely get a much better price from them — esp. if it is nice jewelry. Plus you don’t have to worry about scams or theft.

Don’t do it. They’re getting rich off of suckers like you. The value of gold will never deteriorate, but the value of the dollar will and does. So do yourself a favor and keep your gold. It will be worth more than whatever they give you.

I’ve actually done, cash for gold myself and it was a good process. I wasn’t expecting to get rich, but I got a decent price. One of the keys is working with a larger company. I used www.dollars4gold.eoltt.com. Customer service was great, they actually have live people to talk to, imagine that.
